KU Baseball: Search down to four finalists

Kansas University is down to four candidates in its search for a head baseball coach.

The baseball search committee has sliced Northern Iowa head coach Rick Heller from its list of candidates.

In-person interviews will be held this week with Lindsay Meggs, head coach at Chico State in California; Ritch Price, head coach of Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo; and Mitch Thompson, Baylor assistant. Also, longtime Kansas assistant Wilson Kilmer will be interviewed.

Kilmer has been an assistant coach at Kansas since 1988, serving first under Dave Bingham and then Bobby Randall.

Randall resigned in May after the Jayhawks finished last in the Big 12 Conference for the second straight season.
