Hann places first at USA championships

Kansas University’s Brooklyn Hann placed first in the triple jump in the junior division of the USA Track and Field Championships last weekend at Stanford, Calif.

She was one of four KU athletes to earn junior All American honors. Hann had a leap of 41-83/4.

Kim Clark took fifth place in the 800 in 2:09.97, which ranks third on the all-time KU list. Megan Manthe placed eighth in the 1,500 in a personal-best 4:33.62.

Brandon Hodges placed eighth in the 800 in a personal-best 1:51.11. Jeremy Mims, was 10th in the 800 prelims. He was the first person to not make the finals. Mims ran a time of 1:53.42.

Kansas throws coach Doug Reynolds placed fourth in the discus in 203-5.
