Dorei-Jones

Linda Dorei, McLouth, and Wayne Jones, Olathe, were married June 15 at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence with the Rev. Donald Powell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Reita Dorei-Powell and the late William Dorei. The groom is the son of Deni and Betty Jones, Overland Park.

Edwards-Bailey

Anne Herbert Edwards and Richard Brian Bailey, both of Lawrence, were married June 1, 2002, at Danforth Chapel on the Kansas University campus with Pastor Vicki Penner officiating.

The bride is the daughter of the late Milton and Adena Enns Herbert. The groom is the son of Rufus A. Bailey, Raymore, Mo., and the late Barbara Jane Stoltz Bailey.

Wedding attendants were children of the bride and groom: Elizabeth Bailey, Adam Bailey, Allison Edwards and Emily Edwards.

A luncheon reception was held at Ecumenical Christian Ministries.

The bride is a graduate of Hutchinson High School. She received a degree in elementary education/early childhood from Bethel College in North Newton. She received her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Kansas University. She has been a teacher at Deerfield School for 19 years.

The groom is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Devry College in Springfield, Mo. He received a master’s degree in communications from KU. He is the director of philanthropy at the Kansas Chapter of The Nature Conservancy in Topeka.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
