Robert Leroy Miller

? Graveside services for Robert Leroy Miller, 82, Fort Smith, were Monday at U.S. National Cemetery, Fort Smith.

Mr. Miller died Friday, June 14, 2002, at his home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of George Leroy and Gertrude Miller.

Mr. Miller retired from Hollis & Co. He was a volunteer at Saint Edward Mercy Medical Center and a veteran of World War II.

He married Neita Lewis. She died in 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Lewis, Fort Smith, and Jay, Little Rock; eight sisters, Josephine Downing, Frances Wales and Helen Smith, all of Lawrence, Kan., Mildred Hass and Dorothy Cox, both of Palmdale, Calif., Edith Wilcox, Topeka, Kan., Arlene Redford, Canyon Country, Calif., and Margaret Roark, Billings, Mont.; a brother, Richard, Lawrence, Kan.; and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Hembre Cancer Center, 7301 Rogers Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72903, or a cancer research program of the donor’s choice.

Edwards Funeral Home, Fort Smith, was in charge of arrangements.
