How dare the develo-realtors seek to reduce development costs. After all, if they reduce the cost of new development and housing, the real estate taxes on the existing buildings and houses will decrease over time. Foul! We cannot do that. There are property values to inflate and higher taxes for everyone to pay.

There is clear cutting of a new floodplain regulation with arbitrary standards set based on the false assumption that more is better. It tosses out Fema and is presented as motherhood to save the city money from that frequent 100-year flood. It did not consider the dramatic and costly impact on existing homeowners. Shame on those evil develo-realtors for caring about their fellow citizens.

All this cannot be, cried the naysayers. Yes! said the develo-realtors.

As “real” cooperation, communication, open and positive mindsets prevail, not negativism and my way is the only way, real progress will be made by all parties.
