Okie Mae Wells

Services for Okie Mae Wells, 87, Basehor, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Wells died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at her home.

She was born March 26, 1915, in Newtown, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann (Pruitt) Cox.

Mrs. Wells was a sales clerk for Leaders, Kansas City, Kan., and Bakers, Leavenworth. She attended Basehor United Methodist Church.

She married Chester E. Wells. He died in 1965.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Robinson, McLouth, and Audrey Moody, Basehor; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Chester Wells Jr., died in 1933.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends.
