June is busting out all over and so are the blossoms in Lawrence city parks. This week on “Home and Away,” host Cathy Hamilton will introduce you to some of the people responsible for maintaining our beautiful public grounds and find out how they manage 50 parks. We’ll also meet Meredith Docking, former Kansas first lady and new Lawrence resident, who donated dozens of her namesake hybrid tea roses to the city.

The Sunrise Garden Center’s Tip of the Week is on planting and caring for roses.

A new show airs at 6:30 p.m. each Monday on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6 and repeats at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The show is also broadcast at 9 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m. Sunday.
