Randall E. Conrad

Mr. Conrad died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Lawrence, the son of Jack E. and Edna (Jones) Conrad. He had recently moved to Mesa, Ariz.

Mr. Conrad was the owner and operator of Conrad Electric from 1995 to 2001. He was a master electrician at Williams Air Force Base, Mesa, Ariz. He had also worked at McBride Electric, Kansas City, Kan., and I.T. Works, Mesa, Ariz.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 226, Topeka, Abdallah Shrine, Kansas City, Kan., Lawrence Shrine Club and Mount Oread Aerie No. 309, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lawrence.

He married Linda Ellis on June 3, 1977, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Christina Marie Conrad, Lawrence; a son, Randall E. Jr., Mesa, Ariz.; his mother and stepfather, A.W. Shackelford, both of Lawrence; a brother, Lenny, Lawrence; a sister, Jacque Conrad, Tyler, Tex.; three stepbrothers, Brad Shackelford, Perry, and Brett Shackelford and Brian Shackelford, both of Eudora; and a grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Education Fund for Randall E. Conrad Jr., or to the American Heart Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
