Four Queens cooks up whimsical accessories

The finest ingredients go into Stud Muffins; these treats are made with gold, silver and even diamonds.

Stud Muffins are a whimsical line of muffin-shaped accessories. Grand, gourmet or mini-sized muffins adorn cufflinks, earrings, pendants, charm bracelets and shirt studs.

“‘Stud muffin’ is a term of endearment to some people,” says Maria Keating Titelman, who founded the Four Queens company with three partners. “And ‘muffin’ is a term of endearment for women and ‘stud’ is for men.”

There are other ideas simmering in Keating Titelman’s head. “Maybe I’ll bring back the Carmen Miranda hat with all different foods dangling.”

Long panties get rid of unsightly lines

Regular underwear leaves panty lines while thongs can be uncomfortable. What can save women from all this? Power Panties.

This underwear was invented by Sara T. Blakely, who got the idea after struggling through what to wear with cream-colored pants and open-toed shoes. The solution she came up with, Power Panties, look like biker shorts and slim problem areas (stomach, thighs and buttocks) while eliminating a panty line.

Spanx Power Panties cost $25 a pair, are available in five sizes and a variety of colors, including bare, black, white and cocoa. They’re sold at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Bergdorf Goodman. Other colors (lime, pink, red and sky) are sold in Neiman Marcus exclusively.
