Gladeville, Tenn. ? Jack Sprague finally got a Busch victory to go with his lead in the series points standings.

Sprague, who gave up racing in the Craftsman Truck series after winning his unprecedented third championship last year, passed Greg Biffle to regain the lead with 23 laps to go Saturday night and held on to win the Inside Traxx 300.

Sprague has raced some in the Busch series since 1989 but had not won in 89 tries.

Despite being more familiar with Chevrolet trucks than Monte Carlos, Sprague led four times for 144 of the race’s 225 laps.

In the final shuffle, Bobby Hamilton Jr. passed Biffle to take second. Biffle, the pole-sitter, finished third.
