Focusing on deer
Topeka ? Wildlife and Parks secretary Mike Hayden has announced the formation of a unique group of Kansans.
The Kansas Deer Management Working Group has been assembled to provide the department with recommendations to maintain responsible deer management policies that will govern the future of deer hunting in Kansas.
While most of the individuals asked to serve on the working group will represent an organization or agency, they will also seek public input.
Here is a list of the scheduled meetings:
Aug. 1 at the Kansas State Historical Society in Topeka.
Aug. 2 at Independence High School.
Aug. 3 at the Salina Bicentennial Center.
Aug. 4 at the Garden City Plaza Inn.
Aug. 5 at Colby Community College.
More meeting locations will be announced later.
