Now, personally, it makes no difference to me, because I have long outgrown the excitement of the July Fourth celebration. But my children would beg to differ!

If the commission votes to ban public fireworks, then I say: Ban them all! No public exhibition either (which undoubtedly we will be charged an outrageous entry fee just to watch!). Let’s just not even celebrate our independence at all! Maybe next year we can vote out Christmas?!?
