Marcia F. Tyler

Mrs. Tyler died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Hickory Pointe Care Center, Oskaloosa.

She was born March 25, 1910, in Parker, the daughter of James Franklin and Effie (Sullivan) Newbold. She had lived in Oskaloosa since 1984, moving from Grantville, where she had lived for 34 years.

Mrs. Tyler was a homemaker. She attended First Southern Baptist Church, Oskaloosa, and was a member of Grantville Home Demonstration Unit.

She married June P. “J.P.” Tyler on May 16, 1946, in Ottawa. He died Nov. 8, 1991.

Survivors include a son, Steven Tyler, Grantville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
