Too inconsiderate

To the editor:

I think neighbors should have more consideration for their neighbors on July 4, and shooting off fireworks. Our neighbors stood out at the end of our driveway last night, without our permission or prior knowledge, and shot off fireworks and left the mess in our yard. We have a wood shake roof and firework remains were found on top of our roof. It could have caught our house on fire.

My husband’s work van was in the driveway and it was covered with black power that didn’t just blow off, and so was another vehicle of ours. I don’t appreciate people being so inconsiderate. Their driveway faces another street and they should have stood in front of their own driveway and shot off their fireworks. If not, at least ask us if they could use the end of our driveway and in the morning, they could have gotten up a little early and picked up debris left from “their” fireworks in others’ yards.

I wish Lawrence would ban fireworks in the city totally. People are just too inconsiderate these days. The fireworks and the people are too dangerous.
