Mets recall Corey

New York Mets reliever Mark Corey was called back up to the majors Saturday, about two weeks after he collapsed from a seizure.

Corey was hospitalized briefly after the seizure in the parking lot of a hotel near Shea Stadium on June 26. He was placed on the disabled list the next day and was recalled Saturday from Triple-A Norfolk after a minor league rehab stint.

Tests found no reason for the seizure, and doctors said they thought the pitcher had experienced an anxiety attack.

Percival sidelined

Kansas City, Mo. Anaheim Angels closer Troy Percival will miss at least a couple of games while doctors examine an infection behind his right ankle. Percival is 3-1 with 22 saves in 24 chances. He has converted 14 straight opportunities.
