Nora Virginia Davis

Mrs. Davis died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 19, 1923, in Cord, Ark., the daughter of Ira and Alice Pearl (Wilson) Anderson. She attended school in Cord, Ark., finishing the eighth grade.

Mrs. Davis lived in California for several years before settling in Lawrence for 18 years. She also lived in Wichita, where she worked at St. Joe Hospital for 17 years. She later moved to Ottawa, where she was a resident of Ottawa Retirement Village for the last three years.

She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, Ottawa.

She married Dallas H. Davis in 1941 in Arkansas. They later divorced.

Survivors include two daughters, Nadine Leach, Parker, and Freda Hrabe, Baldwin; a sister, Evelyn Winston, Wichita; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Shirley Davis, died in 1957.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Wilson and Son Funeral Home, Wellsville.
