Anna Margaret Lachenmaier

PEABODY ? Services for Anna Margaret Lachenmaier, 93, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Mrs. Lachenmaier died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

She was born April 16, 1909, in Nuckolls County, Neb., the daughter of Theron Floyd and Alice (McClain) Child. She graduated from Miltonvale Wesleyan College in 1928.

Mrs. Lachenmaier taught at country schools in Cloud County until she married. She was a homemaker and also taught at Pleasant Valley School southeast of Peabody during World War II.

She married W.E. “Smoke” Lachenmaier on Sept. 2, 1932, in Beloit. He died March 29, 1966.

Survivors include her caretaker and son-in-law, Wesley Buller, Lawrence; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Joyce Arlene Buller, died in 1971.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
