San Diego ? Former Missouri point guard Wesley Stokes said he plans to transfer to San Diego State, becoming the third major-college player to join the Aztecs this offseason.

After he sits out the 2002-03 season, Stokes will have two years of eligibility remaining.

“And I also think the style of play Coach Fisher is known for is better suited for me. I like to get up and down the court. I like the idea of a point guard having the ball in his hands and making decisions. I want to play for him,” Stokes told the San Diego Union-Tribune.
