Renegades split pair
NEVADA, MO. ? Lawrence’s Renegades split a pair of games on Sunday at a woodbat tournament.
Cal Heinrich was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in a 10-2 victory over Andrew County (Mo.). Spence Chaney was 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.
Seth Johnson earned the victory in that first game but also took the loss in the second game.
Lawrence lost to Coffeyville, 7-3. It was the second day in row that Coffeyville topped the Renegades, an 18-and-under traveling team.
Heinrich had a double and a triple, accounting for half of Lawrence’s four hits.
The Renegades (17-9) will travel to St. Louis this week and open tournament play Thursday.
