Marjorie E. Doctor

BELLEVILLE ? Services for Marjorie E. Doctor, 79, San Jose, Calif., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Belleville Cemetery.

Miss Doctor died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Gatos, Calif.

She was born Aug. 20, 1922, in the Scotch Plains area of Republic County, the daughter of Benjamin H. and Martha E. (Heyka) Doctor. She attended elementary school in Rydal township and graduated from Belleville High School. She attended Kansas University.

Miss Doctor had lived in the Lawrence area for 50 years. She also lived in Phoenix and San Jose.

Miss Doctor was a manager of a real estate business and co-owner of her own business in California.

She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Lawrence, and was past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a sister, Norma Zehms, San Jose.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville.

The family suggests memorials to a new fine arts auditorium for Belleville High School, sent in care of the funeral home, 1104 20th St., Belleville 66935.
