Overbrook ? She was born Oct. 6, 1917, near Overbrook, the daughter of John George Sr. and Ora Virginia (Bryson) Schirmer. She attended Overbrook area grade schools and received her General Educational Development diploma from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1972.

Mrs. Raab was co-owner of R & O Snack Shop in North Topeka for several years before she worked as a waitress at Little Dandy Lunch, Topeka. She retired in 1982 after 24 years as a cashier for the Kansas Department of Revenue.

She was a member of the Overbrook Flower Club.

Survivors include a son, Jimmie Shepard, Michigan City, Ind.; a daughter, Kathryn Gerisch, Overbrook; a brother, Frank Schirmer, Lawrence; four sisters, Georgia Anderson, Alice Trout and Darlene Ostrander, all of Overbrook, and Olive Taylor, Topeka; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Overbrook, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
