Patricia Jo Scott

Services for Patricia Jo Scott, 59, Lawrence, are pending and will be announced by Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mrs. Scott died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at her home.

She was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Lawrence, the daughter of Robert Nelson and Lois Bernice (Flory) Gish. She grew up in Lawrence and was a 1961 graduate of Lawrence High School, where she was an honor student and member of the a capella choir, girls basketball team and pep squad. She was the Heart of American champion accordion player of 1958.

For 27 years, she and her husband lived in Anaheim, Calif. Mrs. Scott worked for Rockwell International in California before she and her husband in December 1992 returned to Lawrence, where they owned and operated Brass Apple Grill and Bar until 1997.

Mrs. Scott was a member of First Christian Church in Lawrence.

She married John Scott on Sept. 16, 1961, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Lane Dalene Hermosillo, Calabasas, Calif.; four sons, Brett Alan, Orlando, Fla., John Bradley, Tustin, Calif., Brendan Tyler, Costa Mesa, Calif. and Christopher Brady, Corona, Calif.; her mother, Lois Gish, Lawrence; two sisters, Barbara Cawley, Eudora, and Judy Logan, Temecula, Calif.; four brothers, Bob Gish, Eureka, Calif., Larry Gish, Lawrence, Don Gish, Overland Park, and Gary Gish, Rancho Bernardo, Calif.; five grandsons and two granddaughters.

The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society for lung cancer or American Heart and Lung Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
