Utah Jazz vice president Kevin O'Connor postponed comment or disciplinary action Wednesday after the confrontation between coach Jerry Sloan and veteran center Greg Ostertag during Memphis' 86-79 win Tuesday.
With 7:40 left in the third quarter at the Pyramid in Memphis, Sloan replaced Ostertag. They exchanged words, and as Ostertag walked back to the bench, he bumped Sloan. The Jazz coach pushed Ostertag and ordered him to the locker room, where he stayed the rest of the game.
Sloan had announced immediately after the Jazz's seventh loss in 11 games that Ostertag would be suspended.
