Kansas leads the all-time series with Kansas State, 161-88. The Jayhawks have won the last 22 meetings between the two teams. KU has won the last 18 meetings in Manhattan.

Kansas is 13-0 all-time versus the Wildcats when playing in Bramlage Coliseum. KU is 65-43 against K-State in Manhattan. KU is 10-0 versus the Wildcats since the first year of the Big 12 Conference in 1996-97.

KU coach Roy Williams is 31-4 all-time versus KSU, including a record of 13-0 when playing in Manhattan.

Kansas is 8-1 versus the Wildcats when playing on national television.

Kansas State assistant sports information director Tom Gilbert served one year as an intern in the Kansas media relations office. Kansas State assistant promotions director Mike Mores was a graduate assistant in the Kansas promotions office in 1999-00. Mike Evans, a K-State grad, is currently the interim head coach of the Denver Nuggets and coaches former Jayhawk Raef LaFrentz. Ex-Wildcat Lon Kruger is coaching ex-Jayhawk Jacque Vaughn in Atlanta.

The Wildcats put their three-game home-winning streak on the line. K-State has won two straight games, including a 70-61 victory over No. 9 Oklahoma State, and three of its last five contests. The ‘Cats also upended Texas, 71-70, last Wednesday and defeated Iowa State, 63-52, in Manhattan on Jan. 19.

Senior guard Larry Reid, an honorable mention All-Big 12 choice last season, leads K-State in scoring (14.4 ppg), assists (5.7), free-throw shooting (81.4 percent), steals (1.7) and minutes played (35.3). His 5.7 assists per game rank fourth in the Big 12. In league action, Reid is averaging 16.6 points and has connected on 15 of his 31 three-pointers (48.4 percent), good for sixth in the conference.

Kansas State’s Travis Reynolds was suspended by coach Jim Wooldridge on Jan. 8. Reynolds, who is still a member of the team, started eight of KSU’s first 12 games. He’s a native of Junction City.
