Association seeks ‘sisters’ to partake in celebration

The February Sisters Assn. at Kansas University is attempting to locate all women who were involved in the 1972 protest that led to Hilltop Daycare and a women’s studies department.

The group considers anyone who was involved with the protest in any way as a February Sister. Individuals can contact Christine Robinson at robinson@ku.edu or at 864-3091 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The association also is participating in Call to Protect, a national program that pairs donated cellular phones with domestic violence victims.

Donation drop-off sites include the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt., and the Emily Taylor Women’s Resource Center, 22 Strong Hall at KU.
