Lawrence Police said Friday they were investigating two suspects accused of forging checks from a local business and passing them all over town.

Police say the two men, ages 35 and 29, are suspected of forging business checks belonging to the Sunrise Garden Center.

The two have successfully passed the checks at least 35 times from the end of November to mid-December at nearly 20 different businesses.

The checks are believed to have been stolen during an overnight burglary at the Garden Center in late November.
