William R. Scott

? He was born Oct. 5, 1908, in Nevada, Mo., the son of Levi and Mabel (Kimball) Scott. He graduated from Harvard College in 1930 and from Harvard Law School in 1933.

Mr. Scott was an officer in the legal division of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a professor emeritus of Kansas University, where he taught property law from 1947 until 1979. He retired in 1980 in the Boston area and had been a resident of Edgewood since the 1990s.

He married Martha Brubaker. She died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Scott Wilner, Newburyport, Mass., and two granddaughters.
