School reality

1. Who paid for you to go to public school?

2. Were you required to pay fees for programs and busing? (exorbitant ones at that)

3. Who funded your children’s education?

It is time to address the reality. We may have to consider paying a little more across the board to invest in the future of our children and this state. We certainly will not attract new business or people to this state if we continue to allow our schools to evolve in this way. How many other states have resorted to putting public education on the backs of parents whose children are currently in the schools, ignoring the past and future? I don’t believe many. Investing in education is an investment in the future of this state and this country. Remember who funded your public school education and that of your children. Face reality. Good education comes with a price, and public education is a responsibility.
