City swim squads falter

? The Free State High and Lawrence High boys swimming squads finished second and third in the Manhattan Triangular on Wednesday.

Manhattan won with 250 points, beating the Firebirds (206) and Lions (150) in the 12-event match.

Manhattan dominated, but one Lion managed a pair of first-place finishes. David Abreu placed first in the 200-yard individual medley, registering a time of 2:21.74, and took first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.19.
