The Kansas Wildlife Foundation received a $25,000 Recognition Grant from the Kansas Health Foundation for Outdoor Kansas for Kids Day.

The program is designed to encourage youth to explore the outdoors and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.

Programs will be conducted throughout the year, but the main date for the event will be May 3, 2003, when state and local parks across Kansas will offer free activities for children.

The grants are awarded twice a year by Kansas Health Foundation to grassroots organizations that promote health in Kansas.
