Haskell women top Westminster

? Mellissa Catron had 20 points and Kateri Schaaf had 11, leading the Haskell Indian Nations University women’s basketball squad to a 62-58 victory against Westminster College on Saturday.

Lisa Dixon added 10 points and Rebecca Costa nine for the Indians, who shot 50 percent from three-point range. Schaaf hit two free throws with two seconds left to put it away.

“It was a good way for us to end the first semester,” HINU coach Phil Homeratha said. “It was a good win for us. We played without our two top people tonight, so this was a good way to end the year.”

HINU (4-8) will be idle until Jan. 17.
