Showalter-Poteete

Laura Marie Showalter and Clint Russell Poteete, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 7, 2002, during an outdoor ceremony in Wichita, with Keith Sanborn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Francie and Mike Showalter, Derby. The groom is the son of Aenid and Greg Poteete, Overland Park.

Matron of honor was Sarah Ott. Best man was Sean Derning. Bridesmaids were Kendall Goff, Carrie Howard and Shelly Galvin. Groomsmen were Jacob Carlson, Brett Showalter and Brian Ott.

Skylar Galvin was flower girl. Logan Galvin was ring bearer. Colleen Black was reader. Kathy McIlrath was guest book attendant. Colleen Richardson and Marlene Small helped coordinate the wedding and gifts.

A reception followed at the Venue in Wichita.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Kansas University. She is employed by Sprint in Overland Park.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of KU and a 1999 graduate of Baker University. He is employed with Avcorp Business Systems in Lenexa.

After a honeymoon trip to Europe, the couple reside in Lawrence.

Donnally-Scheibel

Mary Kathryn Donnally, Lawrence, and Jeffrey Louis Scheibel, Overland Park, were married Oct. 19, 2002, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Chapel in Lawrence, with the Rev. Vince Krische officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Reaumur and Mary Donnally, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Robert and Patricia Scheibel, Overland Park.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Donnally. Bridesmaids were Kathy Scheibel, Megan Scheibel, Katy Zamer and Lisa Crivella. Best man was Robert Scheibel. Groomsmen were Chris Donnally, Joe Donnally, Tim Donnally and Tom Klebba.

Ushers were Brian Fitzpatrick, Scott Samway and Brad Hunkler. Flower girl was Emma Scheibel.

A dinner and dance followed at Alvamar Country Club in Lawrence.

The bride is a consultant with IBM Global Services. The groom is a certified public accountant with Butler Manufacturing.

After a honeymoon in the Cayman Islands, the couple reside in Overland Park.
