She was born Jan. 16, 1971, in Garden City, the daughter of Wilmer G. and Jennifer L. (New) Krug. She graduated from Scott City High School in 1989.

Mrs. Downing worked at Alvamar Golf and Country Club for two years. She had been a secretary at Eudora High School since August.

She married Ron Downing on Nov. 17, 2001, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Francesca âÂÂFrankieâ Downing and Morgan Lynn Rheuport, both of the home; a son, Jack J. Rheuport, of the home; her father and stepmother, Wilmer and Beth Krug, Denver; her mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Don W. Adams, Lawrence; a brother, Jarrod G. Krug, Chicago; maternal grandmother, Reba M. New, Russell; and paternal grandmother, Tabea Krug, Russell.

The family suggests memorials to the Tisha L. Downing Memorial Scholarship Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
