Kenneth Craig Page
Graveside services for Kenneth Craig Page, 90, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Neodesha City Cemetery.
Mr. Page died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 25, 1912, in Berryville, Ark., the son of William C. and Samantha J. (Fanning) Page. He grew up in Neodesha.
Mr. Page served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946, earning the rank of technical sergeant. He served in New Guinea, Borneo and the Philippines. He received a Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.
He owned and operated a service station in Neodesha and was involved in youth activities throughout his life.
Mr. Page served as American Legion baseball coach in Topeka, winning a state title in 1957. He was involved with Lawrence Legion teams from 1959 to 1971 and won state titles in 1962 and 1964.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Neodesha.
Survivors include a foster son, Gary L. Moulton, Lawrence; nephew and foster son David Page Wilson, Concordia; niece and foster daughter Barbara Wilson Davis, Atlanta; and a sister, Virginia Page, Austin, Tex.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorials to the Kenneth C. Page American Legion Baseball Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
