Kansas City, Mo. ? Jeff Montgomery, Kansas City’s career saves leader and a three-time All-Star, is the newest member of the Royals’ Hall of Fame.

Montgomery spent 12 of his 13 years in the major leagues with the Royals. He will be inducted in on-field ceremonies on Aug. 16 at Kauffman Stadium.

He is the 19th player to be picked for the Royals’ hall.
