K-State pummels Arkansas-Pine Bluff

? Gilson DeJesus scored 21 points on a career-high seven three-pointers, helping Kansas State beat Arkansas Pine-Bluff 76-39 on Wednesday.

Marques Hayden scored 14 points for the Wildcats (2-3) and Pervis Pasco grabbed 11 rebounds.

Kansas State led 38-23 at halftime, and began the second half with an 8-0 run to take a 46-23 lead. The Lions would not again get closer than 20.

Kansas State outrebounded Arkansas-Pine Bluff 51-32 and held the Lions to a season-low point total, as they shot just 27 percent from the field. Lamarquis Blake and Billy Hall each scored eight points for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-5).

Baylor 92, SW Texas 71

Waco, Texas – Lawrence Roberts scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds, leading Baylor (4-0). John Lucas and Carlton Dotson each added 18 points in the Bears’ victory, while Kenny Taylor connected for 15 points.

Terry Conerway led Southwest Texas (2-1) with 24 points.

Texas A&M 83, Tennessee 66

College Station, Texas – Kevin Turner scored all of his 16 points in the second half, including four straight three-pointers in the final 3:05, to lead A&M. Bernard King added 19 points for the Aggies (4-1). Ron Slay had 24 points for Tennessee (2-1).
