The University Bridge Club announces winners of its Aug. 17 game, which was given by Paul and Carolyn Jordan.

The blue winners were Roy Cropp, first; Ralph Dunn, second; and Henry Wigington, third. The pink winners were Jean Dunn, first; Willie Stoltenberg, second; and Bette Lukens, third.

The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club’s Aug. 19 game was a qualifying game for the North American Pairs competition. Thirteen tables participated. The game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North South was led by Dan Schultz and Vera Schultz, who were first in A, B and C. Dave Piro and Jerry Sloan placed second in A. Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough came in third in A and second in B. Terry Tolar and Bill Schultzel placed fourth in A and third in B. James Gunn and Harry Shaffer placed fifth in A and fourth in B. Chris Lane and Klee Zaricky placed fifth in B and second in C. Barbara Hamilton and Bill Hamilton placed third in C. The East West was led by John Hickey and Patt Radford, who were first in A and B. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd placed second in A and B and first in C. Paul Heitzman and Virginia Seaver placed third in A and B. Bob Anderson and Russell LaForce came in fourth in A and B and second in C. Cathy Blumenfeld and Michael Blumenfeld placed fifth in A and B and third in C. Patti Griffitts and Shari Krentzel placed fourth in C. Gladys Kampbell and Blanche Lippman placed sixth in B, while Pat Lombardi and Donna Munson came in sixth in C.
