She was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Marietta, Ohio, the daughter of Richard Herman and Dorothy (Thompson) Masters. She lived in Savannah, Ga., and Philadelphia before moving in 1992 to Lawrence.

Mrs. Ewing had a long career with Group Insurance Administrators of the American College of Physicians until she retired in 1992.

She married Gordon Gail Ewing on June 16, 1945, in Parkersburg, W.Va. They later divorced. He died March 12, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Pomery, Lawrence; a son, David Ewing, Hatfield Pa.; and a grandson.
