Poor execution worries Solich

? Poor execution during the morning meant a little extra work for the Nebraska football team’s top units in the closing session of Tuesday’s two-a-day practices.

Coach Frank Solich had those players undergo a 13-play simulated drive during the afternoon practice.

“This morning’s practice did not go real well. We had a number of missed assignments, they looked tired and worn out a bit,” Solich said. “But there really is no excuse for lack of execution.

“We need to pick up that phase of our game, and that’s on both sides of the ball,” he said.

Solich has not been displeased with the team’s work ethic, saying they have pushed themselves during fall camp.

“But you get worn down in games too, and we need to play through that,” he said.
