Nash nets seven points for Big 12

Kansas junior Bryant Nash scored seven points in the Big 12 All-Stars’ 98-80 victory over the Bakken Bears on Tuesday at the Vejlby-Risskov Gym in Vejlby, Denmark.

Nash hit three of seven shots, including one three-pointer.

Kansas State’s Pervis Pasco scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Nebraska’s Jake Muhleisen had 13, while Texas Tech’s Will Chavis and and Oklahoma State’s Ivan McFarlin had 12. The Stars conclude their six-game tour Thursday in Sweden.

Dove loves KU: Marcus Dove, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward from Long Beach Calif., says he would love to play basketball at Kansas. The Millikan High senior-to-be averaged 20 points a game last year.

“I’ve always really wanted to go to Kansas,” Dove told Mike Sullivan’s rivalshoops.com. “There’s so much history in the program.”

Dove says he wants to visit Kansas next month. He’s considering Boston College, Marquette, Arizona State, Southern California, Washington, Oregon and Utah.

Evertsen update: Devon Evertsen, 6-7, 190 from Phoenix, tells Mike Pegram of Inside Indiana that his favorite schools are USC, Kansas, Wake Forest, Indiana, UNLV and Arizona State., He averaged 24 points last year at Moon Valley High.

Verwers update: Stephen Verwers, 6-11, 215 from Weatherford, Texas, tells Mike Sullivan’s rivalshoops.com he will have an in-home visit from Kansas coaches on Sept. 19. He says he has received offers from TCU, Oklahoma State, Texas, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Michigan, Tennessee, Arkansas and others.

Padgetts impressed: David Padgett’s dad, Pete, told Shay Wildeboor of rivalshoops.com he and his wife had a great time visiting KU’s campus last weekend. David, 6-11 from Reno, Nev., made his campus visit in April. Padgett will visit North Carolina on Aug. 30 and perhaps come to a decision in September. He’s visited KU, Arizona and Stanford
