Leonard Services

He was born March 14, 1947, in Chanute, the son of Myron C. “Muggs” and Marjorie R. (Greer) Leonard. He graduated from Perry Rural High School in 1965. He had lived in Perry since 1986, when he retired from the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Leonard served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1986 as an aviation mechanic, petty officer first class. He had served in San Diego, Japan, Italy, Florida, Georgia and Kingsville, Tex. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a sign installer for Creative Signs in Topeka for four years and then for Art & Sign, Lawrence, for seven years.

He married Priscilla Barker. They divorced in 1969. He married Linda Mae Graves on July 3, 1970, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, James Dale, Perry; two daughters, Heidi Leigh Casper, Topeka, and Kimberly Kay Labine, Olathe; a brother, Steven M., Perry; a sister, Sharon K. Porter, Topeka; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, where family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Wednesday.
