Parking issues

Cars parked on the wrong side of the street, in yards (both front and back), blocking sidewalks, in front of fire hydrants, at intersections still in the driving lane.

Isn’t it about time the city or the landlord’s association bellied up to the bar and started informing new residents various city ordinances as addendum to leases?

I’ve heard it every year for ages, “It’s not our responsibility.” Well, as far as I’m concerned, it’s somebody’s!

While we’re at it, let’s start investigating the requirement that a police officer’s time be wasted having to issue a ticket for an automobile parked in a yard when it would be entirely possible to have that be issued administratively.

We need to use our officers’ time better while still enforcing city ordinances.

Heck, I could keep an officer busy all day simply by driving around town, calling in illegally parked automobiles!
