Sapp dogs on Strahan

? The battle of snubs between Tampa Bay’s Warren Sapp and the New York Giants’ Michael Strahan roared on Tuesday as Sapp hurled a basket full of verbal hand grenades at Strahan.

The whole thing started last week when Sapp, a defensive tackle for the Buccaneers, said an asterisk should be placed beside Strahan’s single-season NFL sack record because Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre purposely fell in front of the Giants defensive end.

That incident, which occurred in the last game of the regular season, gave Strahan his record 22 sacks.

“Ask (Packers head coach) Mike Sherman what play he called,” Sapp said. “Please. Do that for me. When you come back with that one, that will end this discussion. The man called belly-weak. You don’t get a sack on belly-weak.”

“You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know this. I’m from Florida, and Cape Canaveral is right around the corner from my home. But I don’t build rockets, and I don’t tell them how to fly. But I know what belly-weak looks like, and I know what a sack looks like.”
