Bristol, Conn. ? Former Notre Dame coach Bob Davie is joining ESPN as an analyst for college football games.

Davie was fired by Notre Dame on Dec. 2, after posting a 35-25 record over five seasons, including a 5-6 record in 2001.

Davie will be the lead analyst on the network’s Saturday noon telecasts, primarily Big Ten games.
