William Glenn Wear

? Services for William Glenn Wear, 80, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, McLouth. Burial will be in McLouth Cemetery.

Mr. Wear died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wear had lived for McLouth for 55 years.

He was born Jan. 17, 1922, in Otterville, Mo., the son of Augustus and Vivian Wear.

Mr. Wear was a farmer and a carpenter. He refurbished antique furnishings. He had been the mayor of McLouth for the past 15 years.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in McLouth and Henri Masonic Lodge No. 190 in Tonganoxie.

He married Patricia L. Shoemaker in 1944 in Kansas City, Kan. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Marsha Willis, Lawrence; a sister, Winona Shrout, Bunston, Mo.; two grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A masonic service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
