Nash dunks in all-star scrimmage

? Kansas University junior forward Bryant Nash scored six points, including a three-pointer and vicious slam dunk, in the Big 12 men’s basketball all-stars’ scrimmage on Sunday at the American Airlines Center.

“He had a highlight-reel dunk from the baseline. He started at the baseline, took two steps and soared. It brought the place to silence,” Baylor director of athletic media relations Heath Nielsen said of the 6-foot-6 Nash. “Nick Anderson of A&M kept saying, ‘That was nasty.”’

Anderson led all scorers with 13 points.

The all-stars depart today for an 11-day tour of Scandinavia, during which the team will play six games in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The group will fly today from Dallas to Chicago, then after a long layover fly to Sweden.
