Juanita Nunez

Mass of Christian Burial for Juanita Nunez, 74, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Nunez died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1928, in Lawrence, the daughter of Josnd Soledad (Perez) Nunez.

Ms. Nunez was a homemaker. She had formerly worked at the Eldridge House, Joe’s Bakery and Kansas University.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Sophia Nunez and Andrea Nunez, both of Lawrence, and Rebbecca Austin, Houston; two sons, Lewis Nunez Sr. and Carlos Nunez, both of Lawrence; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
