John N. Epp

Elbing ? Graveside services for John N. Epp, 87, Hesston, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Mennonite Cemetery, Elbing.

Mr. Epp died Monday, July 29, 2002, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston.

He was born Aug. 19, 1914, in Mead, the son of John N. and Katie (Neufeldt) Epp.

Mr. Epp was a mechanic, both self-employed and at a Chevrolet dealership in Newton. He was a member of Zion Mennonite Church.

He married Verna Justina Bergen on Dec. 16, 1934, in Elbing. She died Sept. 17, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Andrea D. Welborn, Lawrence; a brother, Albert Loeffler, Wichita; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Jon Gilbert, died earlier.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today or from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
