Monthey services

He was born Dec. 23, 1938, in Salt Lake City, the son of Frank William and Marguerite Anna (Wilcox) Monthey. He had lived in Oskaloosa since February 1979, moving from Topeka, where he lived most of his life.

Mr. Monthey was a computer programmer analyst for Payless Shoe Source Company, Topeka, for 20 years. He formerly worked for the state of Kansas as a programmer.

He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 4015, Oskaloosa. He was a member of the men’s bowling league at Countryside Lanes, Oskaloosa.

He married Shirley Mitchell in December 1959. They later divorced. He then married Rhonda J. Warrington on July 4, 1978. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Frank “Johnny,” Gillette, Wyo., and Alan, Meriden; four daughters, Penny Monthey and Kelly Grefe, both of Topeka, Kerry Monthey, Lawrence, and Sara Monthey, of the home; a half-brother, Jesse Earl Shinpaugh, Ladonia, Tex.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
