KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Services for Donald L. Newland Jr., 39, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Newland died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at his home.

He was born in Kansas City, Mo. and lived in Lawrence for the past 10 years. He worked as a machinist.

Survivors include his mother, Marlene Soliz, Lawrence; his father and stepmother, Donald L. Sr. and Jean Newland, Independence, Mo.; and three sisters, Georgie Kolster, Grain Valley, Mo., Anita Soliz, Kansas City, Mo., and Mary Soliz, Kansas City, Kan.
